Director, Member Communities at Young Presidents' Organization ("YPO-WPO")

Young Presidents’ Organization (“YPO-WPO”), the premier network of global leaders, is seeking a Director to join its Network Community Team. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record using their strong relationship management experience, analysis skills and event planning background for our high profile organization. The ability to work independently, understand committee dynamics and a commitment to excellence of service are critical in this role.

This position will work closely with our members and management team to leverage both virtual communities (online) and event (offline) activities designed to connect around areas of business, personal and social enterprise arenas. A good grasp of global business, economic and political issues while being comfortable in an environment of frequently changing priorities are a necessity. YPO-WPO requires a high level of integrity, ability to maneuver through politically charged issues and desire to collaboratively work in a multi-cultural organization with international members and associates.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Directs strategies to enhance the community network experience
• Proactively create and develop unique, cost effective programs based on member needs and expectations to increase membership satisfaction
• Represents the voice of members to ensure the highest level on online platform operability
• Build partnerships with strategic alliances to enhance the member experience
• Analyze data relative to demographics and personal trends to effectively identify new opportunities and program content
• Identify and analyze patterns and trends for platform performance relating to member needs
• Monitor online communications and media platforms to communicate creative uses of network communities to membership from the simple to the complex
• Recruit and engage members to actively lead network community programs such as global conference calls and network programs to support a premium quality experience
• Establish and report monthly metrics, make recommendations and contribute to the efficiencies of the overall department
• Maintain current knowledge of social media tools, best practices and market trends
• Collaborate with internal divisions to promote network community participation
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience with C-level executives in a volunteer environment providing professional cooperative program planning
• Knowledge of developing programs and events for high level audience with proven take home value
• Understand committee dynamics, successful interpersonal and diplomacy skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a start-up environment
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to thrive within a goal-oriented team
• Excellent organizational skills and commitment to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Proven track record in budget management
• Membership or association experience helpful with specific background in event planning
• Must be fluent in local language and customs (designated by region served) and English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills and database management
• College degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed and willingness to travel internationally
