Hapax is a privately-owned company with operations in UK, USA and Sweden. Hapax is currently expanding and we are looking to fill several key positions including the position of Community Content Manager.
* Use various means of interacting with the community including blogging, private messaging, blog comments and discussion boards, member events and promotions.
* Source content mix from internal documents, external resources, freelance and community writers
* Manage a team of bloggers across a varied work matrix (in-house, and community based).
* Help define guidelines, recommendations, best practices and procedures related to the community.
* Be one of the key faces of the community and help manage the social relationship of the community on the web
already established social media connections to promote the community content
* Identify and recruit influencers, evangelists within the community and use those resources to enhance content mix
* Establish metrics and provide tracking to validate community content offerings
* Under the direction of management, monitor and respond to external industry-related blogs and forums. Find out what customers and prospects are saying, and bring them into the community as new topics when appropriate.
* Write, edit and distribute community e-newsletters
* Work with director to establish short and long range editorial calendars
* Develop comprehensive plan for sourcing content and seeding community
* Champion product suggestions and feedback by escalating internally for fast resolution
* Monitor community forums, provide feedback and answer general community questions or facilitate the response by escalating thread to appropriate channel
* Monitor and understand current community trends, opinions, concerns, general topics of conversation, etc.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* 3+ years experience moderating and/or developing content for an online community
* 3+ years of community contributions (blogging, discussion posts, articles, etc.).
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to successfully interact and work with individuals across multiple departments
* Experience using Content Management Platforms for online publishing
* Should be well versed and have hands on experience with social media sites and networks
* A thorough understanding of social networking/media and community related dynamics, and tools.
* Experience writing blogs, articles, and newsletters
* Experience using multiple social media tools to share and promote what you write
* Good interpersonal skills, with a good sense of humor, and wit
* Analytical mind with the ability to absorb technical material
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Experience managing freelance writers and coordinating external/internal bloggers/contributors.
* Creative, outgoing, friendly team player and builder
