Development Project Leader at Hapax

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
For Assigned Projects:
* Participate in functional requirements definition;
* Participate in conceptual design and architecture of solutions;
* Develop specifications for realization of solutions;
* Develop and manage project plans;
* Manage development, testing, quality assurance and implementation of solutions;
* Enforce company standards for development life cycle, code and documentation of software, and employee practices, procedures and reporting requirements.
Generally:
* Participate in review and prioritization of development project inventory;
* Participate in establishment, refinement and enforcement of development standards;
* Participate in performance review of assigned project personnel;
* Mentor and enhance skills of assigned project personnel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* No less than 5 years’ experience in a capacity similar to the Project Leader role;
* No less than 7 years’ experience as a software developer;
* A Bachelors or equivalent degree from a recognized and accredited college or university.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Expert-level skills in C++ programming;
* Expert-level skills in application design;
* Expert-level skills in Linux operating environments;
* Expert-level skills in SQL database design and programming;
* Significant skill in web development and deployment;
* Significant skill in project leadership and management;
* Significant experience with accepted software development lifecycle methodologies;
* Complete fluency in spoken and written English.
