Senior Designer

Position Summary:
Sonicbids is seeking a creative hands-on Senior Designer. The position will be highly involved in all aspects of the job cycle from concept through production. The Senior Designer is part of a creative team and will be primarily focused on web and product design (www.sonicbids.com), working closely with both product and engineering.
In addition, the Senior Designer will participate in the concepting and creation of other design deliverables, including support of Sonicbids branded marketing programs for a wide range of clients (www.sonicbids.com/brandedmarketing).
The ideal candidate will be well schooled in web design (print design is a plus). This position is full-time on-site at our offices in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
• Quick and detailed design with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Works closely with product managers, UX designers and developers to create designs in support of Sonicbids.com web application
• Works closely with Marketing Director to develop marketing website design and other design projects
• Manages and implements brand guidelines (http://www.sonicbids.com/guidelines)
• Supports branded marketing team (www.sonicbids.com/brandedmarketing) with creative concepting and execution (includes working with another design)
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years work experience as a designer
• Solid command of the latest versions of MAC CS3 including strong working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver
• Ability to code HTML (front end)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, dynamic work environment
• Knowledge and use of social media
• Flash experience a major plus
• Experience on both client side and agency side a plus
• Prior design experience at an established technology company preferred
• Music industry experience is a huge plus, passion for music is a must
