How Big Can You Think?
The Yahoo! Communications & Community group seeks a results-driven Community Manager to cultivate and manage our power user/influencer audiences for some of Yahoo!'s largest and most important products, including Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Groups, and Yahoo! Messenger, ensuring that these communities are healthy, satisfied and feel connected to Yahoo!. In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing and Product leads for the respective products to make sure that community feedback is being heard and that product roadmaps and communications plans adequately address the needs of our important power user/influencer audiences.
This position requires the ability to work across a cross-functional team that includes product management, marketing, market research, editorial and public relations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Create, launch and manage Y! Community Input programs - customer advisory panels to provide feedback on product experience for existing products and beta programs.
Synthesize feedback into recommendations for Product and Marketing teams.
Moderate discussions with Y! advisory panels and organize in-person events with panel members.
Contribute to C&C property blogs, with assistance from Editorial, Product & Marketing. Community Manager should leverage these blogs to drive user engagement and to ensure that core users feel ''connected'' to and heard by Yahoo!.
Participate in key product team meetings, representing the needs of power users/influencers
Manage online and offline events to engage users and build goodwill with the Community
Work with Marketing and PR to identify opportunities to promote/showcase user stories to internal and external audiences.
