Job Description: Online Community Manager

Position Summary-
The open CollabNet Network is the primary platform by which CollabNet touches its users from the enterprise to the individual developer. open CollabNet represents an online experience where users can browse for technical information, establish/join and lead communities of interest, start open source development projects, download software that enables and enhances distributed development (from CollabNet and its partners) via collabXChange ™ and obtain value-added services such as education, support and consulting. The Online Community Manager is the main liaison to all open CollabNet members with responsibility for ensuring a positive user experience as well as improving CollabNet’s value proposition for its customers.

Key Responsibilities-
• represent CollabNet to the community and enhance customer loyalty
• connect community members with CollabNet employees, partners and each other
• serve as the primary evangelist for the open CollabNet community
• coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new content or online functionality from current and prospective users and stakeholders
• create detailed use cases as well as define requirements that enhance the user experience
• maintain in-depth knowledge of the competition and strategies for CollabNet to be an industry leader in online community building
• perform product demonstrations at trade shows, online seminars and other events as well as training for sales, partners and customers
• track and deliver community metrics and translate into actionable recommendations
• work with the open CollabNet Content Manager in prioritizing new content elements

Qualifications-
• 5-7 years community management experience in an enterprise software company
• knowledge of innovative web strategies for maximizing community interaction including user generated content and usability tools, testing & analysis
• knowledge of web analytics and reporting
• excellent written and oral communications skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences
• subject matter aptitude relevant to the role of software development; experience a plus
• proven track record of working with cross-functional teams that include engineering, marketing, sales and operations
• ability to interact effectively with executive management
• BA/BS required (degree in technical/communications field preferred); Masters degree a plus (in Computer Science, Communications or Business)
