Online Community Manager – Burlingame, CA
Zecco is looking for an Online Community Manager, responsible for driving the activation of our financial community, including blogs, forums and a rich social networking platform which is currently in private Beta.
As an Online Community Manager, you will be assisting in achieving remarkable and fast paced results in:
• Dramatically improving and expanding our online community involvement, for both community members and trading account holders
• Stimulating the generation of high quality user generated content
• Facilitating a high quality social networking user experience
• Posting frequently in the community, including discussing your own investments
• Quickly responding to community posts to enhance the immediate feedback essential for growing communities
• You have a track record in working with online communities, although potential and ambition are as important as experience.
Responsibilities include:
• Engaging and stimulating users to actively participate in the community
• Monitoring and moderating user generated content
• Making editorial selections from user generated content
• Recruiting and fostering financial bloggers
• Creating and editing requirements, guidelines, recommendations, procedures related to community participation
• Generating ideas for new and improved community features
• Creating contests and programs to get people participating in the community
• Defining and reporting on key performance indicator
Thinking about your profile, you probably:
• Have experience with online communities, preferably (but not necessarily) in the financial services industry
• Have excellent writing skills
• Are a creative, web savvy individual with excellent analytical skills and you understand technology
• Have a BS/BA degree
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), including flawless English.
• Have a basic understanding of investing
• Have 4-6 years professional experience
• Understand the opportunity that this career move brings to you with a company that is on a high growth path
• Live in or around San Francisco, or you’re willing to move to the Bay area
