Community Manaager - Photoshop Elements/Photoshop Express at Adobe Systems
Description
The Community manager role, sits within the consumer and hosted services division of Adobe which encompasses Photoshop Elements, recently launch Photoshop Express (www.photoshop.com/express) among others. We are growing an entrepreneurial team that is aggressive, nimble and can thrive in a fast paced environment.
You will be the front line contact between the business unit and the customer and feeding customer insights into the internal team and taking our message back into the community. You will be the communities’ advocate, friend and confidant and build a deep relationship with them that encourages their participation, interaction and contribution to the consumer community.
Responsibilities
· Be the voice of the community into the product marketing and product management team and identify product / feature needs of the customers and influencers
· Be the product voice and personality in the community
· Run online and offline community engagement programs that encourage community participation and drive product active use; this could include running contests, programs that build and showcase community creations as inspiration to other participants
· Cultivate community leaders, be the point person for the consumer influencer panel and manage product fan page on Facebook and other properties
· Inter face with product management, product marketing, PR and market research teams
· Hang out in forums, chat rooms, consumer blogs on the internet and engage with our customer – essentially track and cultivate bloggers and community leaders
· Track trends on new “online” venues customers hang out in and highlight new burgeoning relevant communities back to the business unit
· Strong understanding and level of comfort with web technologies / capabilities
· Friendly and personable with the ability to interact with photography novices as well as photography hobbyists
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to react to problems that can occur in a real-time, fast moving environment.
3+ years experience as Community Manager for a consumer software application.
· Proven history of maintaining and developing an online community
· Experience in an existing consumer photography community a HUGE PLUS
· Passion for photography and making “creations” with their photographs.
· Passion for the Internet as a social medium.
Education:
· Bachelors degree.
